In the corporate town Pulkau free and easy, but still specific meetings between young people from Austria’s neighbouring countries and the whole continent and young people and organisations from our country have taken place repeatedly since 1998. The first meeting already took place in Pulkau in September 1996. Since then collaborating organisations could be found in all Eastern European countries. During the inauguration of the baroque granary, which had been transformed into a youth hostel, by the governor Dr. Erwin Pröll it was awarded the title ‘Eurosmile’.
