There are two significant school campuses comprising several colleges as well as numerous educational organisations for adults. Based on this fact the Leader region has already taken the decision to support the development of an ‘educational region’ and to promote lifelong learning in the funding period 2007 – 13. Based on the activities so far the region is now planning a region wide and co-operative ongoing development towards an educational region focusing on ‘communal education’.
