Musical educational festival in Grabern

In 2016 the music event Grabern welcoming almost 3000 guests, showing 74 performances in 15 locations took place in the market town Grabern. With a choice of 15 different music genres there was something for everybody. 256 musicians were able to show their talent and could increase the region’s publicity. The presenters provided the audience with a lot of information about the different genres of music.
Due to positive feedback the market town Grabern and the musical society Grabern decided to host the educational music festival Grabern this year. This year’s event focuses on the educational aspect (i.e. gaining knowledge about the different styles of music, workshops and trying out musical instruments).

Modules and workshops for broadcasters

‘radioYpsilon’ is an independent, non-profit medium free of advertising, whose supporting association is ‘Kommunikationszentrum nördliches Niederösterreich’). All members of the community are allowed to broadcast themselves. Social, cultural and ethnical minorities as well as people who are discriminated against for example because of their sexual orientation and their ethnical origin have first call for doing so. The voluntary broadcasters receive a basic training for broadcasting by the staff of radioYpsilon.

Qualification & professionalisation KG-leader

For more than 10 years the KG Kellergasse has been trying to preserve and revitalise the Kellergassen (i.e. lane or hollow way with wine cellars on one or both sides) in the Weinviertel. The aim of this project is to improve the image and quality of guided tours through the Kellergassen. That way the interests for this cultural asset should be raised and the networking between all participants intensified.

Education festival ‘Bildung to go’

Learning and wondering about what the region has to offer as well as celebrating are the central aspect of this event. ‘BILDUNG TO GO’ shows in an informative and entertaining way what our region has to offer by focusing on the educational aspect. Experimenting, trying out new things together, collecting new experiences and celebrating co-educational success characterises this project as an outstanding one.

Arts festival Groß-Reipersdorf

In the course of this project, the ‘Stein-Werk-Arena’ of Groß-Reipersdorf near Pulkau functions as a one-day creative centre for people of all age groups. The offers of artists and experts put the focus on education, arts, culture, health and enjoyment as well as the playful learning in an extraordinary place.

Prolongation of the Arts festival Groß-Reipersdorf

The creative festival in the stone quarry of Groß-Reipersdorf has become an educational festival for all generation in recent years. Local clubs and associations have been involved more frequently and the association ‘Stein – Werk – Arena’ has been expanded. Both measures could help to establish this creative festival even better in the region, appealing to more and more participants so that the number of visitors constantly increased. The organisation ‘Katholisches Bildungswerk Wien’ and the ‘Forum Erwachsenenbildung’ functioned as the project sponsors. This way the offer could gain further support throughout the area of Lower Austria.

Wine hiking in Pulkau with dialect expression

The tourism association Pulkau and its surrounding area want to become established and known as ‘wine hiking’ area and want to raise people’s awareness of this cultural asset. Along the paths in-between the vineyards walkers should encounter old dialectical idioms and words describing the topic wine growing. This way an additional motivation for walking and hiking should be created. At the same time people’s attention should be turned to regional dialects and the wine growing area of Pulkau.

Youth exchange meeting in Ö- Estern Europe

In the course of the international youth exchange programme, young people from Pulkautal have the chance to get to know the host country, cultures, institutions, lifestyle and education in families and above all young people from other nations

This year’s international youth camp takes place in Seefeld-Kadholz. Around 120 children between 10 and 15 years of age from interested municipalities in Romania, Hungary, Czech Republic and Austria (Pulkautal) are participating.
